The college campus spans around 3 acres and includes academic and hospital facilities covering nearly 170,000 square feet. Barind Medical College offers MBBS programs to both domestic and international students, including a significant number from India. The institution has a strong academic record, with many graduates successfully clearing India’s FMGE examination on their first attempt and establishing successful medical careers. Similar disease patterns between Bangladesh and India further enhance clinical familiarity for Indian students, particularly those from neighboring regions such as West Bengal.

The MBBS program has a total duration of five years, followed by a compulsory one-year internship. Barind Medical College is approved by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, affiliated with the University of Rajshahi, and accredited by the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC). It is also listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and recognized by organizations such as the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and FAIMER.

The institution aims to achieve academic excellence by providing high-quality medical education, training, research, and innovation in medical sciences and technology, both nationally and internationally. With a total student strength of 607, including 157 international students, Barind Medical College maintains affordable tuition fees compared to many other medical colleges in Bangladesh and abroad.

Nearly half of the student population consists of international students from various regions of India, including West Bengal, Assam, Kashmir, Rajasthan, Delhi, as well as from Nepal. This diverse student body fosters a multicultural learning environment that enhances cultural understanding and professional preparedness.

The college also provides well-maintained hostel facilities for international students, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and comfort. The hostels are fully furnished, equipped with essential amenities, and located adjacent to the campus within walking distance. Supervised by hostel authorities, these accommodations offer a secure and supportive living environment for MBBS students.
